Group II systems use a powered pump to alternate air pressure between cells — actively relieving pressure rather than just distributing it.
Cells inflate and deflate in cycles so no area of skin bears load continuously, which is what’s needed for higher-risk users and for healing existing wounds. Most systems also offer a static mode for care and transfers, and low-air-loss models add moisture management. Indicated for Stage III–IV injuries or multiple sites.
